Landproduction is one of the main activities of the Kress Group, being developed at “Estancia Beate”. Nowadays, with an area of total 20.000 hectares, this settlement is considered one of the major producers at national level. Productive activities are distributed in the following way:

Agriculture

In an area of 11.000 hectares the settlement grows soybean, corn and wheat mainly. Depending on the market situation we also can produce Chia, Sunflowers, Canola, etc. Special care is given to the environment by the practice of direct sowing and the constant rotation of crops in arder to avoid the degradation of the soil and the negative impact of erosion. lt is possible to have 5 harvests in 2 years producing around 70.000 MT of grains per year (35.000 MT of soybean, 25.000 MT of corn and 10.000 MT wheat) certified by ISCC (Sustainability Certification). The production is than sold national and internationally.

Fruit Production

There are more than 1,760 hectares of fruit plants such as: orange, tangerine, lemon, guava and peach, besides yerba mate and acid orange leaves (Petit Grain). This last item is for the production of essential oil. We also invested in the tirst drop irrigation system for 130 hectares citrus and have the frist and until now biggest certitied nursery in Paraguay. The certification is given by the Government as free from Citrus Greening (HLB). In this nursery we have 4 Motherplants varieties and the possibility to produce 80,000 buds per year. The production of 26,000 tons of fruits is commercialized as fresh fruit in the national market and a smaller part is used in the Frutika Plant.

Horticulture

A total area of 158 hectares is used for the grow of carrots, onions, potatos and red beets under a pivot irrigation that covers 108 hectares and 50 hectares of drop irrigation where paprikas and table tomatos are planted. In 1.5 hectare we have a Greenhouse for Tabletomatos. We also built a nursery for the yearly plantation of the vegeta bles.

The production of around 2.000 MT of horticulture production are commercialized in the market as fresh and a smaller part is also used in the preparation of Frutika products, like the to mato extracts and the Nectar Carrot-Orange mix and tomato extracts and sauces.
